I have already spent so much on training.

Why I built V2V
I have spent years inside this community as an end-of-life doula, a high performance coach, and as program manager at Willow End-of-Life Education and Planning.
And I kept seeing the same thing.
Practitioners who were trained, capable, and called, who were not working. Not because the demand was not there. But because nobody had ever taught them how to build the business around the calling.
I heard it in every single conversation I had with every practitioner in this line of work. And underneath all of it was a myth I could not stop thinking about.
"Nobody wants to hire us. Nobody wants to spend money on this kind of support."
Here is what I know to be true.
The healthcare system is doing its best. The legal system is doing its best. We honor both. And there is still a gap between what those systems can offer and what people actually need when death enters their life.
That gap is where you live.
Some of you work in the before, the advance care planners, the legacy artists, the home organizers helping people get their affairs in order before they ever sit down with a lawyer.
Some of you work in the during, the doulas, the chefs bringing nourishment, the holistic caregivers holding the whole person through the hardest days.
Some of you work in the after, the funeral celebrants, the grief coaches, the legacy workers helping families honor a life and find their way forward.
Before, during, and after. Every stage. Every expression of this calling.
What you share is this: you exist to support dignity, autonomy, legacy, and human connection at the most significant moments of a person's life.
And people are already looking for you.
They just may not know the label yet.
